Getting Started

New to Alphie Trader? Start here.
How do I create an Alphie Trader account?

Download the Alphie Trader app from the App Store or Google Play. Open the app and tap "Register." Enter your email address, create a secure password, and follow the on-screen steps to complete your profile. You will receive a verification email. Click the link inside to activate your account.

What information do I need to register?

To create a basic account you need a valid email address and a password. To access full platform features, including live account functionality, you will need to complete our identity verification (KYC) process, which requires a government-issued ID and proof of address.

Is the app available in my country?

Alphie Trader cannot be offered in the following prohibited jurisdictions: Iran, Myanmar, the USA, and North Korea. If you are resident in one of these countries we are unable to open an account for you. If you are unsure whether the app is available in your region, please contact us at support@alphietrader.com and we will confirm your eligibility.

Can I use the app on multiple devices?

Yes. Your Alphie Trader account can be accessed from multiple devices. Log in with your registered email and password on any supported device. For security, we recommend enabling two-factor authentication (2FA) on all devices you use.

Where can I download the Alphie Trader app?

Alphie Trader is available on the Apple App Store (iOS) and Google Play Store (Android). Search for "Alphie Trader" to find and download the app. If you experience any issues downloading or installing the app, please contact support@alphietrader.com.

Account & Verification

Identity verification, KYC, and account management.
What is KYC and why is it required?

KYC (Know Your Customer) is a standard identity verification process required under financial regulations. It allows us to confirm your identity, protect your account from unauthorised use, and comply with applicable laws. KYC must be completed before you can fund your account or access live features on the platform.

What is accepted as Proof of Identity?

We accept any government-issued photo ID — a passport, driver's licence, or national ID card — provided it meets all of the following requirements:

  • Original photo required. It must be a clear photo taken directly with a phone or digital camera.
  • Valid and active. The document must not be expired.
  • English name. The document must show your English name, or be in English.
  • No scanned copies. Scanned documents, photocopies, and black-and-white copies are not accepted.
  • No virtual IDs. Digital or virtual IDs, and screenshots of electronic IDs, are not accepted.
What is accepted as Proof of Address?

Your Proof of Address must be issued within the last 3 months and uploaded as an official PDF copy. You may submit a PDF copy of any one of the following:

  • Utility bills. Electricity, water, gas, or landline telephone bills.
  • Financial statements. Official bank or credit card statements.
  • Housing documents. Mortgage statements, or an active lease or tenancy agreement.
  • Government-issued ID. Any valid government-issued ID displaying your address, provided it has not already been submitted as your Proof of Identity.
  • Reference or introduction letter. An official letter from a financial institution regulated in Seychelles, from a regulated financial services business operating in an equivalent or FATF-compliant jurisdiction, or from a branch or subsidiary of a group headquartered in a well-regulated overseas jurisdiction that applies global compliance standards.
How long does verification take?

Most verifications are completed within 24 hours. In some cases additional review may be required, which can take up to 3 business days. You will be notified by email once your verification is approved, or if further information is needed from you.

How do I reset my password?

On the login screen, tap "Forgot Password." Enter the email address linked to your account and tap "Send Reset Link." Follow the instructions in the reset email to create a new password. If the email does not arrive within a few minutes, please check your spam folder or contact support@alphietrader.com.

How do I update my personal information?

You can update most profile details from the "Settings" section of the app. For changes to core identity information such as your name or date of birth, please contact our support team at support@alphietrader.com, as these changes may require re-verification.

Deposits & Withdrawals

Funding your account and withdrawing funds.
How do I deposit funds into my account?

Once your account is verified, open the app and go to Account > Deposit under Banking. Select your preferred payment method, enter the amount, and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the transaction. We offer Bank Wire, Card, and Local Methods. The methods available to you vary by region, so always check Account > Deposit in the app for the current list.

How long does a deposit take to appear?

Most deposits post instantly or within 30 to 60 minutes.

  • Bank Wire. Posting depends on your bank's processing times and typically takes 1 to 5 business days. If your bank wire deposit has not posted after 24 hours, please contact us.
  • Card and other methods. Your deposit should post instantly or within 30 to 60 minutes. If it has not reached your trading account, or you see any error, please contact us.

You can reach us at support@alphietrader.com with your transaction reference number and we will investigate promptly.

How do I request a withdrawal?

Go to Account > Withdraw under Banking. Enter the amount, choose your withdrawal method, and confirm the request. We process withdrawals within 24 to 48 business hours, as our Finance team operates from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM GMT+8. Once the withdrawal is completed, the posting time depends on your payment method and bank provider.

What should I know before requesting a withdrawal?

Three rules apply to every withdrawal request:

  • Card. You can only withdraw up to the total amount you have deposited by card. Profits must be withdrawn using a different method.
  • Bank Wire. We require a bank statement to verify account ownership and confirm your details are accurate.
  • Free margin. You may request a withdrawal while you have open positions, but your free margin must be at or above 150% after the withdrawal, otherwise the request is declined.
Are there fees for deposits or withdrawals?

Applicable fees are displayed in the app at the time of each transaction. Fees may vary depending on the payment method, account type, and region. Please review fees before confirming any transaction. For specific fee enquiries, contact support@alphietrader.com.

Why has my withdrawal been delayed?

Withdrawal delays can occur due to payment provider processing times, additional verification requirements, or high volumes. If your withdrawal has exceeded the stated processing window, please contact us at support@alphietrader.com with your withdrawal reference and we will look into it for you.

My card deposit was rejected — what should I do?

This is usually a decline from your card issuer or bank, rather than an issue with your Alphie Trader account. Please contact your card issuer first to confirm there is no block on the transaction. If they confirm the card is fine and the deposit still fails, reach out to our support team at support@alphietrader.com.

Can I deposit using someone else's card or bank account?

No. All deposits must be made using a card, bank account, or payment method registered in your own name. Deposits from third-party accounts, including company or business cards, are not accepted, may be reversed, and can delay any future withdrawal.

Copy Trading

How to follow and mirror Aces on the platform.
What is copy trading?

Copy trading is a feature that allows you to automatically mirror the positions opened and closed by another trader on the platform. On Alphie Trader, a trader you can copy is called an Ace. When an Ace you are copying executes a trade, a proportional trade is placed in your account. You retain full control at all times and can pause or stop copying at any point. Please note that past performance of any Ace is not indicative of future results.

How do I start copying an Ace?

Start with the Leaderboard to browse available Aces and review their profiles and activity history. Tap "Copy" on an Ace's profile, set your Copy Fund and single trade limit, and confirm. Your account will then automatically mirror their activity. Copying only mirrors trades placed after you start, so positions the Ace already had open are not copied.

Can I stop copying an Ace at any time?

Yes. Open the Ace from your Aces list or go to their profile, then choose Stop copying. Once stopped, no new positions will be mirrored.

What is a Copy Fund?

Your Copy Fund is the portion of your account equity that you allocate to copying a specific Ace. You have a separate Copy Fund for each Ace you copy, and it rises and falls with the performance of that Ace's copied trades. If a Copy Fund runs out, new trades from that Ace stop being copied until you top it up.

How is my copy allocation sized?

Each copied position is sized against the Copy Fund you allocated to that Ace, and capped by the single trade limit you set for them. Review both settings before you start copying. You can adjust them at any time: open the Ace from your Aces list or from their profile, then choose Change copy limits.

What is Auto-pilot in copy trading?

Auto-pilot is turned on by default. It means your copied trades close automatically whenever the Ace closes their matching trade. You can turn Auto-pilot off for an individual trade to manage it yourself, for example to set your own Stop Loss or Take Profit. Note that turning it off is permanent for that trade and cannot be undone.

Why can't I edit or partially close my copied trade?

Auto-pilot is turned on for that trade, so it is managed automatically and cannot be edited manually. You can turn Auto-pilot off for that specific trade to take manual control, but this is a one-way action — Auto-pilot cannot be switched back on for that trade.

I stopped copying an Ace, but I still have open trades from them — why?

This is expected. Stopping a copy only prevents future trades from being mirrored. Any trades that were already open remain open, and you need to manage or close them manually.

Why aren't an Ace's trades being copied into my account?

This usually comes down to one of three things:

  • Your Copy Fund is depleted, or too low relative to your available equity.
  • Your single trade limit settings are too restrictive.
  • The Ace opened the trade before you started copying — copying only mirrors trades placed after you start.

Check your Copy Fund and limit settings first. If everything looks correct and trades are still missing, contact support@alphietrader.com.

Is there a fee for copy trading?

Yes. A copy fee applies and is paid to the Ace when you copy their trades. Copy fees charged to your account appear in your Transaction History under Copy Fee. For current fee rates, please contact support@alphietrader.com.

How can I become an Ace?

Anyone can become an Ace. Place a trade so that potential Copiers can see it, then make your performance and stats visible: go to Account > Edit Profile and turn on the "Leaderboard and public stats" option, which displays your performance in the leaderboard and your public stats on your profile page.

Portfolio & Trades

Managing your open, closed, and pending positions.
Where can I view my open positions?

Your open positions are displayed in the "Portfolio" tab. Here you can view real-time details including entry price, current price, and position size. You can modify or close individual positions directly from this screen.

How do I view my trade history?

Your full trade history, including closed and expired positions, is available in the "History" section of the Portfolio tab. You can filter by date range, instrument, or trade type to review specific activity.

What is a pending order?

A pending order is an instruction to open a position at a specific price that has not yet been reached in the market. Pending orders are listed under the "Pending" tab in your Portfolio and can be modified or cancelled at any time before they are triggered.

How do I close a position?

In the Portfolio tab, tap the position you wish to close and select "Close Position." Review the details on the confirmation screen and confirm. The position will be closed at the current market price and the result will be reflected in your account balance.

What products can I trade?

Product availability:

  • Major FX — Available
  • Indices — Available
  • Commodities — Available
  • Crypto — Available
  • Shares — Coming soon

Leverage depends on the instrument and your account type. To see the figure for any instrument, open it and tap Instrument Info. If you are looking for a specific instrument, contact support@alphietrader.com.

Do you offer swap-free accounts?

Yes. Islamic or swap-free accounts are available on presentation of a Proof of Faith from the mosque you attend. Administrative fees apply to a swap-free account. To have your account converted, or to learn more, contact support@alphietrader.com.

Why did my trade close by itself?

Trades can close automatically for a few reasons: your Stop Loss or Take Profit level was hit, the account's Margin Stop Out was triggered because equity ran too low, or — for copied trades — the Ace you are copying closed their position. You can see the exact reason under the Closed tab: open the trade and check the "Closed Event" field.

Why can't I set a Stop Loss or Take Profit on my trade?

This usually means the price you entered is on the wrong side of the current market price. For a Buy, your Stop Loss must be below and your Take Profit above the entry price; for a Sell, the reverse applies. You can also set these as a target profit or loss amount instead of an exact price.

I need someone to investigate a trade

Trade enquiries are reviewed by our dedicated Trade Specialists. To help them investigate, please send the following details:

  • Platform and app version — Android or iOS, plus the exact app version.
  • Account type — Demo or Live.
  • Instrument and market status — for example EURUSD, and whether the market was open.
  • Identifiers — the Position ID or Order ID.
  • Trade origin — a normal trade or a copied trade. For copied trades, include the Ace's name and whether Auto-pilot was on or off.
  • Summary of the issue — for example unable to open or close trades, or trades closed without an apparent reason.
  • Exact error displayed — the verbatim error title and message, if one was shown.
  • Closed Event field — the value under the closed trade detail, for auto-close enquiries.
  • Balance bar metrics — Balance, Equity Total, Equity Available, Equity Used, and Margin Level.
  • Attachments — a timestamped full screen capture or screen recording.

Send these to support@alphietrader.com.

Community Features

Social feed, leaderboard, and community chat.
What is the social feed?

The social feed is a real-time stream of activity from traders on the platform, including trade ideas, market commentary, and shared positions from traders you follow. You can like, comment, and interact with posts directly within the feed. Content in the feed does not constitute financial advice.

How does the leaderboard work?

The leaderboard displays a ranking of traders on the platform based on activity and performance metrics. Rankings are updated regularly and can be filtered by time period. The leaderboard is provided for informational purposes only and does not constitute a recommendation to follow any particular trader.

How do I use the community chat?

Community chat is accessible from the "Community" section of the app. You can join general discussion channels or topic-specific rooms. Please adhere to the community guidelines at all times. The Alphie team moderates chat channels to maintain a respectful and constructive environment.

How do I report inappropriate content?

Tap the "…" or report icon next to any post, comment, or user profile and select "Report." Our moderation team reviews all reports. For urgent matters, you can contact us directly at support@alphietrader.com.

I reported a post, but it's still visible — is my report being ignored?

No. Reports are reviewed by our moderation team in the background rather than removing content instantly. If you would like a post hidden from your own view right away, you can block the user who posted it.

Why can't I find a trader to start a chat with?

By default, the New Chat screen lists only the traders you already follow, so anyone else will not appear straight away. Type their name into the search field to find them, then start the chat.

Practice Account

Explore the platform with a virtual account.
What is the practice account?

The practice account lets you explore the Alphie Trader platform using virtual funds. No real money is involved. It is designed to help you familiarise yourself with the app's interface, tools, and features before deciding to open a live account. Activity in the practice account carries no financial risk.

How do I switch between my practice and live accounts?

You can switch between your practice and live account using the account selector in the app's main navigation or settings menu. Data is kept entirely separate between the two account types. Switching accounts does not affect your live account balance or any open positions.

How do I top up my Practice Account?

Go to Account > Request Virtual Funds under Banking and tap Submit Request. Each top up adds a fixed $100,000 to your Practice Account. Your balance must be under $10,000 for you to request one. Requests may take up to 48 hours.

Security

Protecting your account and funds.
How does Alphie Trader protect my account?

Alphie Trader uses industry-standard security measures including encrypted data transmission, secure authentication protocols, and two-factor authentication (2FA). Client funds are held in segregated accounts, kept separate from the company's operational funds at all times.

How do I enable two-factor authentication (2FA)?

Go to "Settings" in the app and select "Security," then tap "Enable Two-Factor Authentication." Follow the on-screen instructions to link an authenticator app or set up SMS-based verification. We strongly recommend enabling 2FA on your account.

What should I do if I suspect unauthorised access?

Change your password immediately, then contact us at support@alphietrader.com without delay. Please include as much detail as possible about the suspected activity so we can investigate and take appropriate action quickly.

Is Alphie Trader regulated?

Alphie Trader is regulated by the Seychelles Financial Services Authority (FSA). Client funds are held in segregated accounts with bank-level security measures applied across all account tiers.

Troubleshooting & Errors

Fixing common issues and app error messages.
My chart isn't loading or appears blank — what should I do?

This is usually a temporary connectivity or data issue rather than a problem with your account. Try switching instrument or timeframe, check your internet connection, and fully close and reopen the app. If charts stay blank across multiple instruments, please contact support@alphietrader.com.

I'm not receiving push notifications — what can I check?

First, make sure notifications are allowed for the app in your phone's system settings. Then check that the relevant toggle is turned on inside the app's Notification Settings — categories such as trade alerts and Ace updates are controlled individually. If both are enabled, you are logged in, and you still receive no alerts, please contact support@alphietrader.com.

I see a "Something went wrong" error — what does it mean?

This is the general error the app shows when something unexpected happens, so it does not point to one specific cause. Tap Retry, and if that does not clear it, check your connection and restart the app. If it keeps happening, please contact support@alphietrader.com with a screenshot.

Why am I being asked to update the app before I can continue?

When a new required version is released, the app prompts you to update before you can keep using it. Updating gives you the latest features, improvements and bug fixes. Tap the prompt to be taken to the App Store or Google Play to update.
